Seaview has a position available for an “Experienced Shepherd General”.
The Farm
The property is 740 effective hectares made up of finishing flats and rolling to steep hill country. There is a commercial sheep breeding flock, plus two sheep studs which run alongside a lamb and steer finishing operation. There is a small cow breeding herd.
The property is well fenced with great infrastructure and uses modern tools, well-maintained gear, and technology. Seaview is at the forefront of environmental works with a QE2 Block, native retirement, wetlands, and riparian planting.
Seaview is located in Porangahau 35 minutes south of Waipukurau, Central Hawkes Bay. There is hunting and fishing on the doorstep with the beach only 10 minutes’ drive.
About You
You will be an honest, energetic, good natured individual who will work well in a team environment and has respect for livestock and equipment. You will need a team of 4 broken in working dogs and have at least 2 years shepherding experience.
The successful application needs to have a great work ethic, be self-motivated, tidy and trustworthy.
